Scoutlympics - Shawnee District Camporee

Scoutlympics - Shawnee District Camporee
November 14th – 16th, 2008
Camp Echockotee

The 2008 Shawnee District Camporee, the Scoutlympics, is being planned to be a great Camporee. Troop 182 has a long tradition attending this Camporee. Here are the pictures of the 2006 Camporee.

These are the activities where Troop 182 patrols will compete with other troops in the Shawnee District:

Knot relay. Practice last night and next meeting
Flag etiquette. Practice next meeting
First aid relay. No problem.
Ultimate Frisbee. We have the best players !!!
Boy Scout History. Read, read, read.
Archery. We practiced last Spring.
Fitness Relay Race. We have the winners of La-No-Che.
Sac Race, 3 legged race, tire run and tug-o-war.
Senior Patrol Leader String burn. We were winners last time.
Patrol Flag contest. Wow, this is going to be hard. Two meetings to go.

Adults will have fun too. Outdoor Leadership Skill training (required for all Scoutmasters/Asst. Scoutmasters in the trail to Wood Badge) and Scoutmaster Jeopardy.

Permission slips were due last nigh and we only have 8 scouts and 3 adults registered. This means that we will only have one patrol for the games.
Last time we had two patrols!!!

We need to increase this number to have a good troop 182 contingent to this Camporee. Please send me an email (copy to the SPL and Committee Chair) as soon as possible (ASAP) confirming your participation. Get a permission slip and give it to the CC ASAP. She needs to send our registration on November 7th.

Be part of our troop 182 tradition and let’s work together for the Camporee's Spirit Award!!!

Yours in Scouting,

Jose G. Lepervanche
Troop 182 Scoutmaster
