Winter Blast from December 26 – 31 at Camp Shands

Boy Scouts don’t miss the fun of Winter Blast from December 26 – 31 at Camp Shands. Scouts may be a part of Winter Blast as individuals or leaders from your troop may attend.

Fantastic program offerings include 29 merit badges including several Eagle required and a Green Bar Bill first year camper program.

Currently only 40 spaces remain for Scouts at this event. Cost is now $180 and slots will be filled on a first come first served basis.

This year’s camp is once again under the leadership of Pat Wright and an excellent group of volunteers.

Here are the pictures of the Shawnee District Camporee and Outdoors Adult Leadership Training. Our scouts got First Place in Ultimate Frisbee and Second Place in String Burning. Congratulations. We also have scouts and scouters as staff, trainers and trainees.

We had a great time visiting the Florida Air Museum and participating in all aviation, space exploration, weather, and astronomy merit badges. We also had our "First Flight" participants who flew in real small planes. They all got their wings. Here is the link to our photo album.
